Examples of our work/testimonials

On this page you’ll hear samples of conference podcasts, to get an idea of what you might accomplish before, during or after your own event. We can’t share certain productions, such as client-only scientific symposia or all-employee meetings, but these will give you a degree of familiarity with conference podcasts. If you have questions about your own event, please email Donna AT Trafcom DOT com.

Raising the Roof

When this charity ran its national conference in Toronto in November 2008, they grabbed the opportunity to capture and publish interviews with young people, government and agency representatives, sponsors and others who care about youth homelessness. The result was about a dozen interesting conversations. Here’s one example.

Autodesk is a leader in the world of software, so it’s no surprise that they’re out front when it comes to conference podcasting too. We’ve been producing online content for them since 2007, including  pre-conference interviews before their massive Autodesk University conference, to build interest among attendees; on-site interviews during the Autodesk University conference; and podcasts produced during internal sales meetings with resellers. In this example, you’ll hear one of the podcasts produced on site in Las Vegas, with a legendary Autodesk expert.

International Association of Business Communicators (IABC)

In 2006 the Trafcom News Podcast ran about a dozen pre-event podcasts before the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) world conference in Vancouver, BC. One of the subjects was digital marketing expert Mitch Joel of Twist Image in Montreal. Of course today Mitch has his own very successful podcast, Six Pixels of Separation, and has just published a book by the same name. Here you can hear him talking about the “it” factor.

Series of very short “man-in-the-street” interviews called streeters are a powerful way to capture the excitement of a gathering. In many cases, we record many of these quick hits during the conference to demonstrate the flavor of the event to attendees (and those who missed it). In this case, streeters from Autodesk University were used to promote the next annual event.
